Privacy
This describes what this version of Rewind Days actually does — not a generic template.
What stays on your device
Favorites, recently heard songs, volume, and a few small preferences (like whether you’ve entered before) are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They’re never sent anywhere, and you can clear them at any time from Your Rewinds → Clear history.
No accounts
There’s no login, no profile, and nothing tied to you personally unless you choose to tell us.
If you suggest a song or leave a memory
Those forms are submitted through Web3Forms, a third-party form service, when it’s configured on this deployment. Whatever you type — and any name or email you choose to include — is sent to Web3Forms and then to us. Both fields are optional.
Music playback
Every song plays through YouTube’s own embedded player — we don’t host, store, or rehost any audio ourselves. Album art comes straight from YouTube’s public video thumbnails, for the same reason: it’s their content, served from their servers.
Because playback happens inside a YouTube player, YouTube (Google) can set its own cookies and collect its own playback data while a song is loaded or playing, under Google’s Privacy Policy, not this one. We don’t control that layer and don’t receive anything from it ourselves.
Live listener count
When enabled, the diner uses Supabase Realtime Presence to show how many anonymous browser sessions are currently in the room. Presence is temporary and disappears when you leave. A random browser identifier is stored locally only to prevent several tabs from counting the same browser more than once; no name, account, song history, or permanent database record is created.
No analytics, no tracking, no cookie banner
We don’t run analytics or advertising scripts of our own. The anonymous presence connection described above is used only for the current room count, and the YouTube player remains outside our control.
Who runs this
